Goals and Objectives to Accomplish if Elected: As president Elect support my fellow Executive Board members and particular the President Elect to position HEO as a key organization to effectively represent and advocate for Hispanics /Latino (H/L) employees in HHS and establish and advance the H/L agenda in HHS.

Increase H/L workforce in HHS, thru capacity building and establishing mechanisms to facilitate the path to H/L to obtain an retain management and senior position within HHS.

Provide direction and day-to-day management and supervision support to the membership of the HHS Hispanic Employee Organization (HEO)

Advance the mission and key HEO priorities and position HEO as a key H/L organization with in HHS

Increase membership thru the human capital management.

Incorporate an effective communication system to maintain ongoing communication with members (such as ECHO) Increase the participation of H/L employees in the U.S. regions and or serving in other countries.

Create an effective electronic/interactive registry of members

Link with the WhistleBower website to report and denounce illegal practices that are or may affect minority communities in particular the H/L employees.

Establish a Spanish Language media HUB and or a Media Advisory Committee to support and promote HEO activities strategies and initiative.

Establish an electronic quarterly bulletin, to communicate with members, inform about potential job opportunities and trainings, and or mobilize members to take action.

Incorporate data collection an analysis to publish reports and educate the communities and the media about the H/L workforce.

Establish a strategic map for the HEO in which we include a business, communication and evaluation strategies.

Assist with Grand writing and identification Funding

Provide expert consultation to HHS and White House senior officials and senior management about H/L issues.

Ultimately, I hope to learn more about the HHS-HEOs proceedings and offerings and help myself and others become better informed and more active participants in efforts to increase the proportion of well informed and qualified Hispanic processionals within HHS and throughout the government. Having an informed and engaged workforce that is demographically similar and can relate to one of the key populations HHS and its sub-agencies serve is paramount to its continued success.

Goals and Objectives to Accomplish if Elected: My goal is to contribute to improve the working conditions of Hispanics at the DHHS, increase the representation of Hispanics in the Department and end the xenophobia and stigma against Hispanics.
